Eigashima distillery is situated in Akashi near the town of Kobe. The concern produces mainly sochu and sake. The first single malt was released in 2007 and was eight years old. The production of malts and blended whiskies is at low rate.

The distillery was founded by Eigashima Shuzo in 1888 in order to produce sake and shochu.
